Managing Director and Founder at Bob’s Business, Melanie Oldham, an industry leading cyber security training and innovative phishing simulation provider, is shortlisted in this year’s Tech Leaders Awards in the prestigious Security Leader of the Year category.

With over 300 entries in total, Melanie has proven that she is one of the most forward thinking and valuable individuals in the tech industry.

Founded in 2007, Bob’s Business has grown from a one person project to an established industry leading organisation in cyber security field with 20 members of staff spread across two offices in Barnsley and Huddersfield.

Melanie Oldham said: “It’s a privilege to be nominated among such highly esteemed individuals in the industry.

“As business leaders, we have a duty to push our sector forward by making it relatable to those outside the industry and this has been the ethos of Bob’s Business since day one.”

Melanie added, “Bob’s Business currently educates around 210,000 users, a figure that is rising rapidly each year, on basic information security and by founding the Yorkshire Cyber Security Cluster I am able to invite regional businesses along to educate them on keep their customer’s data secure.”

Melanie Oldham is shortlisted among the some of the industry’s most respected security leaders from McAfee, BT and HMRC.

Melanie continues, “To be among leaders from respected institutions is an honour – Bob’s Business might be a small business, but we’ve seen growth upwards of 300% over the past three years.”
