Bob’s Business will be attending the Yorkshire and Humber Business Protect – Social Engineering Cyber Attacks conference hosted by Yorkshire & Humber Regional Cyber Crime Unit.
With the rise in social engineering attacks throughout the country, Bob’s Business Managing Director, Melanie Oldham, will be speaking about the impact on business and actions to mitigate social engineering attacks.
The event is focusing on key cyber social engineering delivery methods. Attendance will provide awareness of these types of attack which IT security software cannot entirely eliminate, due to the human factor being intrinsic to their success.
Cyber-crime is a growing threat to UK public, business and government with claims for data breaches by business being made at a rate of more than one per day as reported by the CFC. The Federation of Small Businesses reported the cost of attacks was around £5.26 billion to the UK economy.
The audience will be made up of small, medium enterprises from around the Yorkshire and Humber region, law enforcement, Police partners and industry and academic partners.
